One week after Grainne Carruth´s devastating testimony to the Mahon Tribunal - testimony which has left the Taoiseach’s defense of his financial “irregularities” in tatters - not one senior cabinet minister has come out publicly to support him.
This is what Minister for Education, Mary Hanafin, had to say on the matter yesterday:
I’m only dealing […]

The Irish Independent revealed today that the Taoiseach will tell the Mahon tribunal that he converted his salary cheques into sterling, and then back into punts, before lodging them into the three accounts he kept at the Permanent TSB branch in Drumcondra. This is in response to Grainne Carruth’s devastating evidence to the Mahon […]

Yesterday at the Mahon tribunal, Bertie Ahern changed his story regarding certain lodgements to his account in the 1990s, and said that now he remembered that one had come from his mother (deceased), another from the estate of his father (deceased), and another probably came from a businessman (deceased).
Hiding behind a coffin. No excuse […]

although it may have been the norm there was nothing forcing people to follow the norm, he said some people dye their hair yellow some people put rings in their nose and that’s not normal’.
Bertie Ahern, the fucking brains of the operation, today compared his financial acumen to a fashion statement. He was talking about […]

From the YouTube blurb:
After being asked a number of questions by Ursula Halligan, Senator Eoghan Harris decides he doesn’t want to talk about the validity of the Mahon Tribunal’s investigations into Bertie Ahern’s finances, despite having spent the past week attacking the tribunal on this very point.
For a second or two it seems like Harris […]
