Joe Deasy, veteran Irish Marxist, passed away yesterday at the age of 90. I had the privilege of recording Joe in his home in 2009. This is an extract from the interview, where Joe talks about the Inchicore/Ballyfermot cooperative, which was shut down after pressure was imposed from the Catholic Church. By way of tribute, some words from another Irish socialist, Patrick Galvin.
