One of the big problems with the internet is that despite the wide selection of sites, people can sequester themselves in “echo chambers”, where only like minded views can be heard and there is no dissent.
Unfortunately in Ireland, the entire existing establishment constitutes its own real life echo chamber. It’s a little bubble in which only the accepted views of the ruling ascendency are allowed. Hence, once on the internet, they are necessarily obliged to self censor their discussions lest the bubble be popped.
They’ll be ramping up this sort of thing in the wake of McEntee’s death I feel.
They can’t get votes entirely from the internet. Let them waste their live on the interne whilst everyone else quietly organises and hopefully starts to turn Ireland into something more than an unfinished plantation.
I very rarely make any comment as I’m happy to read ad then engage with people in real life. That’s what it’s all about right?
Don’t waste your time on that senator, he’ll quote anything he reads in order to sustain his existence.
Always enjoy reading the blog.
Happy New Year
