Segway Polo in the Park

I’m up in that Dublin for the week, minding my sister’s house and getting some work done in the libraries. Yesterday I went for a cycle around town after Trinity closed on its half-day Saturday, and ended up in the Park where I didn’t see any deers but did come across this instead.

It’s a rarified atmosphere indeed in ‘that Dublin’ , almost like the ‘Capitol’ in the hunger games. For all their comfort and security I still wouldn’t want to be them ( or listen to them for very long ). They can have their expensive peach polo shirts , I’d settle for equality of opportunity , sustainable indigenous industry and gruit beer on tap.
This type of thing was bound to happen once people in working class estates started to keep their own horses. But these kids are really taking their lives in their hands playing on Segways. A little browsing of the internet reveals
Personally, I think its a pity that this was fixed. I was wondering too how it was faring in the marketplace given that I have never seen anyone use one to get into work in the morning.
“Still has” because….
I think the term for that is ‘tragi-comic’
