During our Lisbon fiasco I came across Crotty in the library. Tried reading a few of his books though found it a bit hard to penetrate. He seems to be pretty much written out of official history. I must try and give his books another look because I noticed you quoted or referenced him a fair bit in Sins of the Father.
There’s a pamphlet he authored in 1992 called “Maastricht, Time To Say No” (archived in the ref. library on Pearse St). Amazingly enough it could’ve been about any EU treaty and even more amazingly coincidental the process they used to badger people into voting for it was the same as the recent ones - “Vote yes or else we’ll be kicked outta the EU and this will cost us £6,000 million (in structural funds)”

Hi Conor,
This is the audio from Saturday’s talk. We’re planning to write an article about it for the Irish Story website also. I’m surprised that the audio turned out so well from that little MP3 player.
Thanks,
Cathal
This is unfortunately the same day a TASC’s Autumn Conference - http://www.tascnet.ie/
Also the same day as a protest - http://www.realdemocracynowireland.org/2011/09/15-o-international-mobilization-globaldemocracy/
