I spoke in favour of this communities organizing against the bail out at the TUI teachers conference in April, the idea was well received by delegates. We need to challenge the complicity of the unions on the bail out - their refusal to mobilize their members against it can only be seen as supporting it. There needs to be a broad movement against the bail out and political parties should be encouraged to support the protest, it runs against the spirit of building a mass opposition to say it must be politics free.
