Or Blair, a peace envoy who fought an illegal war and regularly states that Iran will need a good bombing in the future.

This is not hyperbole, I actually mean this, but I think the man's a psychopath. Hundreds of thousands of deaths on his hands and he sits there smiling, signing books.

Well he sorted out Northern Ireland, But he didn't do it on his first day in office, it takes time. He hasn't done anything to ruin the chance of peace with regards Palestine, he believes in a two state solution. Which is the basis for any solid agreement. Working out the details is obviously gonna take time, but he will also need more support from the UN who put him in this role. As for Iran, he is merely stating the last resort. Also worth noting, Protesters had on their posters a list of all the terrible things Blair had done, one of which said "the normalisation of Northern Ireland' . I found it strange that "anti war" people would still want people being blown up and shot, instead of peace in Ireland. A very odd collection of people indeed!

What precisely is 'wrong' about attempting to execute a citizen's arrest? While I am uncertain about whether an Irish person can legally do so for breaches of International Law, this does not make the attempt morally or ethically wrong.

Ok, pensions is probably a valid point, but in fairness Eric, Tony Blair is supposedly a peace envoy to the Middle East, so Palestine is relevant. Personally, I find it incredible that a man who is openly calling for the bombing of Iran is a peace envoy. It's an insult, no?

And in fairness to Kate, her action was the epitome of peaceful protest. It's to be admired and encouraged, I'd say.

Disgraceful people. She hopefully will mature and realise what she did was wrong. As for the general protesters, they were intellectual vacuums. One minute talking about Palestine, next talking about Pensions in Ireland, neither of which can be blamed on Blair. I also found it ironic how violent, intimidating and militant "anti war" protesters acted.

Kate you are so courageous and brave and strong, well done, i am with you all the way! It must have been quite nerve wracking but your behaviour was a textbook example of integrity and fearlessness in the face of government thugs protecting, as you say, a known war criminal. Bravo!!!!! You are my heroine!!
