Was up in Dublin on Monday, heading into the National Library, when I passed by the PD’s old office on South Frederick street and noticed it was for sale.
According to Daft, it’s priced at 1.6 million euro.

In relation to the PD building, the word reparations springs to mind. Nationalise it in part payment for the damage imposed on the society and economy of this state by their neo-liberal policies.
1.6 million euro? Reduced to sell? If it has been on sale since 2008, and according to a 2008 article from the Evening Herald, which I googled last night its not owned by the PDs, what was it before it was reduced? Anyway.
You’d hardly recognise it without a cafe table sticking out the window.
Although I fear the spectre of the PDs will haunt us for a long time to come (large and pink, probably), I can’t believe RTE went so far as produce a three-part history of the bastards. Well…I suppose I can. They could have done it in 2 mins: pictures of them going into Party HQ for the first time, pictures of social and economic destruction mixed in with a few flashbacks to the Blue Shirts, pictures of them moving out for the last time. End credits.
