Conor, thank you for digging out these singles and artwork, I hope you don’t mind if I embed a track on my latest post http://fanningsessions.wordpress.com/2010/06/07/cork-rock/..?
Oh work away!
Ah, the West Cork synth kings… brilliant, ye feckin’ langer.
In a comment on that CLR discussion, John Green of counagoandspaves very helpfully pointed the way to this great documentary, primarily about Cathal Coughlan’s ‘Flannery’s Mounted Head’ project from when Cork was European Capital of Culture (2006?) : http://vimeo.com/9730708
The ‘Flannery’s Mounted Head’ stuff is fascinating in itself but CC also goes back, somewhat reluctantly I get the feeling, over the Microdisney / FM days.
Watch out for what must be the most crassly insensitive re-development project ever proposed by an Irish gombeen developer - about halfway through the documentary.
Would you have a copy of the Golden Hordes 100 Boys/I reject you by any chance?
Padraig - Conor’ll have to get back to ye on the actual single/mp3s (depends on whether or not it was in someone’s record collection he stumbled upon at any of the parties he was at sometime in the late 80s) but he did put up the vid to ‘100 Boys’ on this post :
