ISRAEL ATTACKS GAZA AID CONVOY IN INTERNATIONAL WATERS
May 31st, 2010 by Conor McCabe
Dr. Fintan Lane, Irish labour historian and political activist, is among those on the Challenger 1, which was one of the ships attacked early this morning with at least 19 fatalities.
The Irish-Palestine solidarity Campaign has called for a protest at the Spire in Dublin this evening, 31 May, @ 6pm.
Among the speakers confirmed are “Aengus O Snodaigh TD and Chris Andrews TD, both of whom were refused access to the flotilla by the Cypriot authorities after coming under severe pressure from Israel.”
This will be followed by a protest march to the Israeli embassy, Carrisbrook House, 122 Pembroke Road, Dublin 4.
Footage of the attack as it happened.

Unbelievably crass intervention by the IDF. Reminds me of a lot of the strategic genius of the British side at Bloody Sunday.
Of course, the IDF have inflicted hundreds of Bloody Sundays on the populations of Gaza and the West Bank over the last couple of decades without the world media getting too concerned about it.
A pretty lively thread going over with our Lebanese friends at the CLR (well that is a Cedar in their name!) :

Brief account by SoS of the Dublin protest and a lot of slavering pro-Israeli trolls - not for the fainthearted.
Yikes, a bit like a re-run of our legendary recently run Greek thread.
