Marx & Spencers / Introducing Mickey Snowball

I had thought Conor was up to his neck in waffles, chips and mayonnaise and that I’d have to deputise for him on the Tarquin Bartleby front. I see, however, that he’s managed to get a post up on one of the sorceror’s apprentices that pass for economic analysts in Lilliput.
Nonetheless, in the interests of keeping up productivity, I’ll forge on with the Bartleby fella. He has skipped Day 5 for ‘recreational’ purposes so here we go straight to Day 6 :
And coming to grips with the immigrant vote in Day 7 :
Footnote - isn’t that a masterpiece of 20th century Belgian art behind him on the wall in Day 6.
Anyone else feel he may be a mole for the Brussels technocrats ??

“up to his neck in waffles, chips and mayonnaise…”
Actually, that’s pretty much what I ate while I was there.
I was a little disappointed by their non-alcoholic beers, though. I thought they’d have a good range, but really it was about the same as Ireland. I think they hold the same kind of silent contempt as well
“waffles, chips and mayonnaise…” that’s not a Ciarán recipe is it ?
You use the past tense about Belgium - so ye managed to avoid that Icelandic volcanic dustcloud then and got back ??
Only just it seems. Two of the other speakers at the session on Ireland are stuck in Ghent.
