Just got a text from a friend of mine who works down in Wexford. The local hospital’s A&E is to be be closed from 12am to 8am. The maternity unit will be closing as well.
The Greens and Fianna Fail are going to give €54 billion to land speculators while we close hospitals to pay for their lifestyles.
The ONLY thing keeping this government alive at this stage is the Green Party.
The Greens are propping up this attack on the Irish people.
That party’s finished.
Unfortunately, by the time they leave office two years from now, so will our communities.
Well, maybe I’m being a bit unfair on the speculators.
I need to read this and remind myself what great entrepreneurs they really are, and why we need to protect them over the lives of mothers and babies.
Worse, they’re giving a large bulk if those billions to the apparently dead Anglo Irish Bank. I have not heard any politician yet tell me what is the real point in keeping Anglo going.
You don’t get it. We have a regime in this country not a government. All positions of power, judges, boards, CEO, have been either appointed or “approved” by the ruling party who have been in power almost without interruption since 1989 (21 years) . The ruling party rules for itself and its supporters. Their supporters need to be bailed out. They are being bailed out and they will be bailed out. That is the nature of a regime. The sheer stupidity of the Irish voters,however, is somewhat of a conundrum.
