If so - did he have a slightly botched sexchange and become that aul wan that plays/played the accordeon round about the Central Bank with the suitcase with lots of paraphenalia in it (neve looked too closely, but probably religious). The pub of the death scene is the Swan, isn't it - have a good memory of sinking a few pints in there one Sunday morning before going to see Nick Cave's 'lovesongs lecture' performance in the Gaiety...
