LET THERE BE LOVE

More clips from The Courier. This one contains a recording of a busker next to the Carmelite Church on Aungier Street, who is playing during the death scene of one of the main characters.
Does anyone remember this guy at all? (The busker, that is, not Andrew Connolly). I get the feeling that he happened to be there when they were filming the scene, and they just left him in. Good job as well, as it’s one of the better scenes in the movie.
Enjoy.

Is it really a bloke ? If so - did he have a slightly botched sexchange and become that aul wan that plays/played the accordeon round about the Central Bank with the suitcase with lots of paraphenalia in it (neve looked too closely, but probably religious).
The pub of the death scene is the Swan, isn’t it - have a good memory of sinking a few pints in there one Sunday morning before going to see Nick Cave’s ‘lovesongs lecture’ performance in the Gaiety… Luckily Toni had finished performing by then (mid to late 90s)
Correction - round about the Bank of Ireland, College Green, I meant…
