FINE GAEL: IN BETWEEN THE LINES

Fine Gael has nineteen press statements on its website relating to immigration and integration. Last night I put them into word cloud in order to see what words came out the most. The result is above.
The statements are saturated with words like “trafficking”, “crime”, “criminal”, “illegal”, “offenders” and “victims”.
Part of the party’s 2007 immigration manifesto included a section on tackling road safety and immigrants. Is that what you call an integration policy?
You can’t help but think that what’s really going on is this:

‘offenders’ is much less prevalent than concepts like ‘also’, ‘people’, ‘person’, ‘country’, ‘Ireland’, ‘EU’ and ‘children’. But I guess it’s all in what you look for. Personally, I think the ‘Fine Sexual Workers’ bit at the bottom of the central portion is quite intriguing.
A nasty racist party with nasty racist TDs. Two years ago it was the right to shoot travellers, now it’s the right to deport blacks, the right to segregate classrooms, and the right to marginalize people based on their passport. They have nothing to offer the south but hate.
Is it no wonder they haven’t won a general election since 1982? 21 years of rejection by the Irish electorate. Now they’ve come up with the idea that targeting blacks and Asians is the way to win seats.
Cunts. The lot of them.
‘offer the south’? I think you’re getting a bit Col. Saunders on us.
[…] instead we get Fine Gael’s foreigner-bashing, Fianna Fail’s pass-the-blame and as for the Left - well, if someone sees them wandering […]
Thank you Irish guys. Don’t worry we all are gonna leave. As you want Ireland for the Irish without foreigners and without money. But pls believe me we will treat with the same bigotry the Irish who live abroad who are 10 times more than the size of your little wet island.
Thanks again for you myth of hospitality. I hope no other European country will accept you.
