A GARDA’S VIEW OF CLONDALKIN
Aug 26th, 2008 by Conor McCabe
This is a strange one for Dublin Opinion. My brother-in-law sent me the link. From what I can gather it’s from an unmarked Garda car doing the rounds in Clondalkin/Neilstown. The clip itself has been doing the rounds via Bluetooth for the last couple of months, but somebody got around to putting it up on youTube.
Anyway, see what you think.
That garda displays pragmatic humanity in asking yer wan gently to return the trolley to the supermarket when she’s finished with it. Imagine how a NYPD cop might have handled the situation in Queens!
Ireland’s silver medalist boxer at the Beijing Olympics is Kenny Egan, and he belongs to a boxing club in Clondalkin. I trust that the residents of that unsung suburb will come out to welcome their Olympic hero in a hearty manner.
Who needs bleedin’ Macnas - West Dublin street theatre :->
The bloke in the trolley looks like he learned his moves from a punch and judy show
