Irish Pirate Review Ahoy!
Apr 15th, 2008 by Donagh
I know this has already been on Pirate Election and Shiver me Cedars, but I just had to mention a most impressive new blog, Irish Pirate Review.
It’s about time that honest, thieving pirates finally ganged together and took to ship to take on the oppressive imperial overlords of the sea, and then through relentless and statistic-laden posts which grind on interminably about the relevant issues of the day (as they relate to those in pirating), over power the scum and loot their galleys for precious booty.
The Creed says it all:
Arr Me Hearties!
Irish Pirate Review is a new pirate-y online magazine. It do have features, essays, articles and treasure maps all intended to reflect the Pirate cause. Whether ee call yourselves a buccaneer, a pirate, a wrecker or a rake, we seek to hold the common cause of piratical behaviour up as an example to all. The cause of Pirates is the only true way forward, but in recent years we have seen a slackening in resolve by even the Saltiest Sea Dog.
A salty tear wells in the nook of me eye as I read this, for it is a brave thing they do. Good luck and God’s speed to all who sail in the Irish Pirate Review and may the winds take you where you need to go!
This ye’re work?
Glad to dee someone is trying to combat global warming ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:FSM_Pirates.png )

Blackbeard De Rossa… sheer genius…
Nope, nuttin’ to do with me, gov. It’s too good to be my work.
Brilliant Thriftcriminal. Who would have guessed that the Flying Spagetti Monster is actually controlling everything with the deft movement of his many pasta tenticles.
It is WbS, but to be honest the story of De Rossa coming unstuck was an old sea tale ripe for the telling.
Was looking for that piracy song from Disney’s Peter Pan on YouTube to bung up - but obviously Uncle Walt’s legal boys have slashed all and sundry with their rusty sabres. Pity - as I’ve only ever heard it in French.
Instead I came across this which is well scary :
Are the Irish Pirate Review people also behind a failed Latvian Eurovision entry ? Our own Cap’n Turkeyarse was gonna whip them anyhow….
I’m “hooked” already.
groan.
